1 of 2 Victor Vasarely "Planetary Folklore Participations No. 2" w/ Custom Wendell Lovett Table
$8,500.00 USD
A signed Victor Vasarely Planetary Folklore Participations No. 2 and the taupe laminate table built to hold it — one of two ever made, the other to Charles Simonyi, custom-made for his home in Medina, Seattle, ca. 1987. Photographed together in architect Wendell Lovett's own living room. The art piece is signed and numbered 40/500.
- Made by: Artwork by Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely. Table by Seattle-based architect Wendell Lovett.
- Country: Seattle, WA, USA
- Period: 1987 (Estimated)

It comes with the taupe laminate table built to hold it, attributed by our consigner to Seattle architect Wendell Lovett, who made two. The other went to Charles Simonyi, whose Medina house Lovett designed around his Vasarely collection. Photographed together in Lovett's own living room around 2012. See images for provenance connecting this piece to Lovett's home in Madrona, Seattle. Additionally, see the final image showing the table (lower right) in the room with prominent Seattle architects (left to right): Keith Kolb, Wendell Lovett, Philip Jacobson, Grant Hildebrand.
