Originally purchased at SIGNAL Gallery at 260 Johnson Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11206 on April 10th, 2014 for $2,000. Invoice included.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Bennet Schlesinger, a Los Angeles-based artist, designer, and poet, creates furniture, lighting, and functional objects from materials including wood, paper, ceramic, bamboo, and brass. His work, influenced by natural elements and the Arts and Crafts movement, emphasizes quality and craftsmanship. Schlesinger's designs, some of which reference Isamu Noguchi's Akari lamps, are known for their simplicity and handcrafted approach. He has collaborated with Emily Dawn Long and exhibited in Los Angeles and New York galleries. Schlesinger is also developing a poetry manuscript.
This piece is a rare divergence from his typical work– venturing out of a light-based, sculpted medium and into a dark, abstracted painted medium.

Orders within 100 miles of our Seattle storefront may be scheduled directly at checkout. Rates vary by piece and distance, with Portland deliveries typically ranging from $500–$700.
